Design 4 16x20 tour posters for Bonobo's upcoming Migration 2017 tour. One poster must include all tour dates, while the other 3 can focus on one date or location. Each poster must function as distinct indivudal pieces while also functioning as part of a larger system.
Bonobo creates electronic music mostly without lyrics, so lyrical themes were avoided and the focus was placed on the concept of migration. Existing material for Bonobo's newest album Migration relied heavily on photographic landscapes in both the music videos and the album art.
My concept for the tour posters revolved on the things left behind after human "migration": tire tracks, foot prints, contrails, and water wakes. These elements were paired with a circular structure to represent the often cyclical nature of migration: south for the winter, north for the summer, etc.
